Three things are very important to us: knowledge of the subject, continuous quality, and respect for each other. Jayra Sport is the specialist in recreational Judo, Karate, Krav Maga, Boxing, and Kickboxing! We offer these lessons in Rotterdam Kralingen for both children and adults in a recreational setting. BJJ Delft is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu team that was founded in 2008. The team consists of enthusiastic, athletic and motivated BJJ practitioners and is led by Farzin (Third degree black belt) and Floris (Second degree black belt) together with a team of instructors. Currently the team is supervised by former world champion Roberto Atalla of Rio Grappling Club, which guarantees our roots in BJJ.

Developing compassion for others is a core concept in the practice of aikido. This means that we try to put ourselves in the position of the attacker, instead of judging him. Who does not know the urge to attack someone? To enter into battle when you yourself are being oppressed? This realization not only brings us closer to the motivation of the attacker, but also enables us to examine our own motivations. In this way we learn to deal better with both the aggression of the other, and our own aggression. We can then delve deeper into dealing with aggression and train ourselves to apply compassion in situations that require it of us. A life based on compassion with regard to the people around us, friend or foe, enables us to take a positive and constructive position in today's society. It is in this way that aikido can become a lifestyle.

John Kleijn (6th dan) has been a judo teacher for over 40 years. After teaching for a number of associations, he founded the Benoordenhoutse Judoschool in 1994. His most important judo teacher was Jaap Hoogendam. In addition to being a judo teacher, he also works as a mathematics teacher. Currently at the Royal Conservatory, but previously at the Aloysius College, the Gymnasium Haganum, the HML and the private institute Vrijbergen.
