At Mejiro Gym Amsterdam you can find an all-round kickboxing training at amateur level as well as on a professional level. During this course you’ll learn the famous ‘Mejiro-style’. Next to that we offer a kickbox training that is accessible for everyone: young & old, man & woman, beginners & experienced. Kickboxing offers an endurance work-out, prevents stress, helps to loose weight, build up your confidence, adjusts your posture and expression and brings body and mind back together. All trainings are held in a healthy and responsible way.

In March 2019, we opened our own sports center in the heart of Amsterdam. Our goal is to make as many women and children as possible more resilient, so that they can go through life with a safe and confident feeling. In addition to our self-defense lessons, you can also come to us for high-quality personal training. You will also find various entrepreneurs at our location who are active in the massage, health and beauty industry.

Aikido is fun and stimulates your health. You gradually discover what ‘Ki’ is; you become aware of this flow of energy the longer you train. By keeping in touch and ‘staying in your centre’, you learn to neutralise an attack instead of injuring your attacker. Aikido is fascinating to experience. In our dojo we practice aikido under the guidance of Dick Willems Sensei and following the example of Shihan Erik Louw.

At ABOV Amsterdam, we offer cardio-fitness, conditioning, and boxing training. We specialize in boxing training for both competitive and recreational boxers. Everyone is welcome at ABOV, regardless of experience, age, or gender. Recreational boxers are athletes who don’t necessarily want to compete but still want to participate in boxing training. They’re athletes looking for the most complete workout: a boxing workout.

Aikidojo Poort is the association for aikido in Almere Poort. Aikido is a Japanese martial art that was developed over a hundred years ago. With aikido you learn to defend yourself with techniques instead of aggression and you develop control of your body in a relaxed way. We organize aikido lessons in Almere Poort for youth and adults.

We are a Judo club for everyone. At Almere Maru you can practice judo at a recreational level but also if you want to compete. It remains that we continue to promote honesty but also sporting behavior. It is a club for children and adults with or without disabilities. We find it important that the children learn the techniques in a playful way and have fun in judo. With judo you take care of each other, you also practice judo with all children (big small or with a disability). You also learn social and motor skills here, judo is therefore an aid, in which we try to develop the social and motor skills. This will also allow you to experience personal growth.
